The forum aims to:
- Raise awareness of benefits, labor rights, and access to social protection.
- Promote stakeholder engagement and find solutions for workers.
- Provide opportunities for workers in the banana and rubber plantation sectors to raise challenges.
In this regard, CCC has shared the progress on 11 requests and demands of workers in the banana and rubber sectors, of which 3 requests have been resolved and responded positively by the companies, 3 other requests need to be further response by the companies, and 5 requests have not been responded, which requires cooperation from all parties, including the Royal Government, the private sector, and civil society, to make these protections a reality.
