Moving against Corruption & Impunity
Phnom Penh (23 November 2014) – More than 500 Hundreds of people gathered in Phnom Penh to celebrate the International Day to End Impunity.
Wearing a yellow T-Shirt which written on the back “iMove against Corruption & Impunity for Poverty Reduction”, Da said that she was excited to join the event because it is a chance for her and others to express their opinion on the impunity which leads to land evictions, violence, and jailed of the human right activities. She feels disappointed in many cases which the perpetrators are living freely behinds the justice system bar.
One among five of the participants are calling on the government to tackle the issues by reforming its administrative level & the court system.
Speaking at the event, Soeung Saroeun, executive director of Cooperation Committee for Cambodia, said that we together will end impunity and corruption which rooted in our society and bring social injustice within the community.
The colorful clusters of balloon were released as the end of the event, but the activities against corruption and impunity will be continued.
