Announcement

Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) is a Cambodian NGO. DPA currently has two main programmes: Integrated Community Development Programme (ICDP) and Partnership and Advocacy Programme (PAP). DPA is now seeking a suitably qualified Cambodians to fill up the positions of:           1. Communication and Engagement Officer, 2.Assistant Provincial Project Manager, and              3. Community Development Facilitators.

  1. Communication and Engagement Officer(This position is based in Phnom Penh and frequently travels to the provinces)

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Producing annual review and other communication and education materials.
  • Coordinating with programme teams and DPA advocacy team to gather and document information related to advocacy work.
  • Building relations and increase awareness of DPA and its activities by all partners, constituents and future donors-locally and internationally.
  • Maintaining/updating information on DPA website and Facebook.
  • Training staff in feature story writing.
  • Engaging, networking and sharing of current events of DPA with relevant government’s ministries, NGOs and journalists in Cambodia.
  • Proactively building and maintaining relationships with relevant government’s ministries, NGOS and journalists in Cambodia.
  • Supporting programme teams to organize roundtables, workshop and conferences related to advocacy works.

 

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Public Relations / Communication high competency in writing in both English and Khmer.
  • Computer literate in Photoshop, Page maker, Publisher, MS Word, and MS Excel and having knowledge of internet and website.
  • Excellent negotiation and representation skills.
  • Previous work with NGOs desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and long-hours.

 

  1. Assistant Provincial Project Manager: (Two positions available: one based in Stung Treng and the other in Ratanakiri Province)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Provincial Project Manager (PPM) in ensuring the effective and efficient management of the project and its activities by providing overall guidance to the team on planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities.
  • Facilitate the team in developing the monthly and quarterly plans, annual project operational indicators plan and budget, and writing the quarterly, annual, and completion narrative reports.
  • Assist the PPM in strengthening collaboration and coordination with other NGOs, NGO Provincial Network, and concerned Government Provincial Departments.
  • Assist the PPM in mobilizing internal and external human resources to effectively implement the project, particularly focusing on capacity building.

 

Qualifications Required:

  • University degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related fields.
  • Knowledge and experience in Climate Change Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster Management and Emergency Response, Agriculture Value Chains, and Agricultural Cooperatives.
  • At least four years of experience working with NGOs, preferably in integrated community development.
  • Experience in project data tracking, recording, and consolidating for project report writing purposes (quarterly, semi-annually, annually, and completion).
  • Knowledge and experience in Community Organizing (CO), Rights-Based Approaches (RBA), and networking and advocacy on climate change are advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and management skills in program, finance, administration, staff development, and networking.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, email, and Internet.
