The Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC) and the International Forum for Volunteers in Development (FORUM), with support from CCC member organizations including AVI, France Volontaires, and VSO, have jointly organized the 2025 International Volunteer Cooperation Organizations (IVCO) Conference, in Siem Reap. This marks a significant moment for the nation as it welcomes international leaders from the volunteering and development sector to a conference themed "Strengthening Civil Society in Challenging Times."
This annual event brings together volunteer-involving organizations from around the world, the conference will provide a unique platform for reflection, learning, and networking, as global experts convene to discuss pressing challenges and opportunities facing civil society today.
"We are incredibly proud to host this important conference and welcome our international colleagues to Cambodia," said Ms. Sin Putheary, Executive Director of Cooperation Committee for Cambodia. "This is an opportunity to highlight the resilience and dedication of volunteering for sustainable development."
The choice of Siem Reap as the host city not only provides a beautiful backdrop but also allows attendees to experience Cambodia's rich cultural heritage. The conference aims to foster a sense of national pride by demonstrating the country's capacity to lead and contribute to global conversations on sustainable development.
Next year, the IVCO conference will be held in Paris, France, hosted by France Volontaires, further underscoring the event's global significance and rotating leadership.
