Overview

France Volontaires is a French NGO working in volunteerism sector. We are as a voluntary platform that carries out a general interest mission, provide and sharing information about voluntary sector. With a financial support from French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation , France Volontaires have been accredited to implement The Volunteering for International Solidarity ( VSI )’s contract. To date, we have sent nearly 2 500 French Volunteers with this type of contract of 1-2 years, to 99 countries in the world. Our volunteers work in different sectors of development as education, agriculture, art, law etc .

Background

AFVP (now France Volontaires) sent its first "Volontaire du Progrès" in Cambodia in 2000. It was in Siem Reap to support the vocational training project of the "Ecole Paul Dubrule”. Since, the association has strengthened its presence in Cambodia until having 23 2010, AFVP becomes France Volontaires and the new mission of supporting all stakeholders of volunteerism appears. France Volontaires open a representative office in Cambodia in August 2009 whose objectives are: Increasing awareness and recognizing of the various forms of volunteerism. Assisting to develop in quality and quantity the number of volunteers, while pursuing its mission of sending Volunteers for International Solidarity. Supporting volunteer-sending organisations in their missions of mobilization, preparation, monitoring, administration and reintergation of volunteers.volunteers simultaneously present in the year 2009.
