Background

On April 02, 2005, Evangelical Mission Church (EMC) was launched with very small financially support only US$20 per month by a Cambodian godly man who worked for World Vision Cambodia to rent a small wooden house for multiple purposes such as church service on Sunday, English classroom from Monday to Friday, church office, shelter for pastor and few orphans. By July 2005, we were supported US$50 per month by a church from Singapore to rent a bigger house. By 2008, EMC became partner with 3 American organizations: Relevant Expeditions, Joyce Meyer Ministry and Feed The Hungry. And then due to the growth of our work; Evangelical Mission Association (EMA) was launched by being registered with ministry of cults and religion of Cambodia. Our main works are focusing on children and youth’s education, health care and church planting. By seeing more needs for children and young people, on August 01, 2012 we registered our ministry with the ministry of interior as local nonprofit organization that is called Evangelical Mission Organization for Development (EMOD).

Evangelical Mission Organization for Development is the local Christian nongovernment organization, bases in Kampong Thom province. Its main work is focusing on children, young man and woman’s health and education. It is doing this by providing health care training, skill training, safe accommodation, scholarship and formal education for them.
