NGO GPP is leading the process of establishing a voluntary NGO certification system centred on compliance with the Code of Ethical Principles and Minimum Standards for NGOs in Cambodia. The goal of NGO GPP and CCC is to work with organisations that are committed to implementing the standards for enhanced organisational accountability and good practice. To participate, organisations must submit a written application, and provide the requested documentation. More>>
The review process is designed to assess and determine if the applicant organisation meets the required standards. NGO GPP staff conduct an initial review of the submitted application and materials, if they are found to be complete, further review will take place involving the NGO GPP Working Group. Upon the recommendation of the Working Group, a field visit and review will be conducted by NGO GPP staff. The field visit report will be submitted to the Code Compliance Committee for final approval. Successful organisations will be awarded a Code Compliance Certificate which is valid for up to three years. The first round of processing, in which there were 8 NGO applications, has been completed and on Tuesday, 26 June 2007, the first successful local NGO applicant, Mith Samlanh, was awarded a certificate of recognition for having applied all of the standards in the NGO code. This semester (July – December 2007), NGO GPP invites interested local and international NGOs to apply for this certification. Thank you for your commitment to ethics and accountability in the NGO sector. |
