Welcome to the NGO Good Practice Project (NGO GPP)
NGO GPP was established in 2004 as a result of growing pressure, from both within and outside the NGO sector, for NGOs to be more accountable. Currently NGO GPP is smoothly operating with funding support from AusAID, Forum Syd and CWS.
NGO GPP, as a project within the Cooperation Committee for Cambodia (CCC), is a collective response by NGOs that aims to strengthen the NGO sector in Cambodia by encouraging and promoting NGO accountability and good organisational practice. More>> English / Khmer
NGO GPP has facilitated the process of development of the Code of Ethical Principles and Minimum Standards for NGOs in Cambodia. The NGO Code has been developed by a Working Group of representatives of the NGO Community in Cambodia, and incorporating feedback from a wider audience of NGOs and other development stakeholders. This code aims to maintain and enhance standards of good organisational practice and to ensure the public trust in the integrity of the individuals and organisations that make up the NGO sector, and the effectiveness of NGO programmes. NGO GPP is leading the process of establishing a voluntary NGO certification system centred on compliance with the Code of Ethical Principles and Minimum Standards for NGOs in Cambodia. More>> Voluntary NGO Certification System
NGO GPP seeks to provide opportunities where NGOs can come together, in response to both internal learning and external pressures, to identify the common standards on which accountability should be based. NGO GPP seeks to create the conditions in which change can take place from within the organisations. More>> NGO GPP workshops and events
NGO GPP is making documentation available to the wider NGO community, including tools and resources on issues of NGO governance and accountability. Now more than 100 tools and resources are available on this website and at CCC resource center, as well as some target provinces in Cambodia. More>> Resources
